If you have arthritis, PEMF will improve the symptoms that come with this chronic disease and in some cases, eliminate them. Pulse electromagnetic therapy uses electrical energy to conduct a series of magnetic pulses through injured tissue where each magnetic pulse induces a small electrical signal to accelerate cellular repair.
What is arthritis?
Arthritis develops when the cartilage, which is a connective tissue that protects our joints, diminishes in mass or quality. There are numerous kinds of arthritis, but the most common are rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Normal small-injuries to the cartilage which worsens due to infection or a more severe injury can cause osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is when a person’s immune system attacks their synovium, which creates a fluid that lubricates our joints. If untreated, this will eventually destroy the joints, and it’s adjacent bones. Common symptoms of arthritis include pain, inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain.
Various studies have proven that PEMF can diminish inflammation, and increase cell growth in the joints. This form of treatment can also increase a person’s mobility, strength, and reduce joint stiffness. Also, it will improve sleep patterns, eliminate depression, irritability, and stress, therefore enhance a person’s quality of life.
